When is the museum open?
The Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum is open Tuesday–Saturday, 10 AM–4 PM. We’re closed Mondays and major holidays.
Is there an admission fee?
No — admission is free for all visitors. Donations are encouraged to help preserve our historic buildings and fund educational programs.
How can I exhibit my artwork at the museum?
Artists interested in exhibiting can submit a short proposal including an artist bio, sample images, and exhibit concept to harlingenmuseum@harlingentx.gov. Exhibits are reviewed seasonally by the museum’s exhibition committee.
Where are you located?
We’re at 2425 Boxwood Street, Harlingen, Texas, on Loop 499 near the TSTC campus. Parking is free and accessible.
Do you offer tours for schools or groups?
Yes! We welcome schools, senior centers, and community groups. Guided tours are available with at least two weeks’ notice. Call (956) 216-4301 or email to schedule.
Can I host a community event or private gathering at the museum?
Absolutely. The museum rents its event spaces for receptions, showers, meetings, and educational programs. Contact us for rates and availability.
